Counseling for Anxiety

Anxiety feels differently for every person. It might be a sense of dread, a constant fear that “something bad is going to happen” or a constant state of being on edge. It might be that you have difficulty concentrating on anything except for worries about your safety, your loved ones or your future. This might contribute to sleeplessness and inability to engage in the activities that used to bring you joy and pleasure. This may lead to irritability and frustration as you try to go about your day to day obligations while managing this increased stress.

For some, it can be a panic attack that can come of what seems like nowhere. Sweaty palms, flushed skin, feeling out of control of your body, feeling nauseous and having a racing heart are not uncommon. It can be difficult to regain composure and a sense of calm after these moments and leads many to stop engaging in previous activities for fear of having these attacks in public.

Regardless of the specific symptoms of anxiety you might be facing, you are not alone. Anxiety is incredibly common and the good news is that there is help available and therapy has been found to be extremely beneficial in managing and treating these symptoms.

In my work with clients, I assist individuals in finding the underlying causes of anxiety. I will assist you in gaining tools to address these symptoms utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I am incredibly honored when someone feels to safe to open to me about their fears, concerns and worries. My approach in assisting you is tailored to your unique needs and concerns and I strive to ensure that you are working toward the goals that you want to achieve.
